A man was arrested within minutes on suspicion of a break-in at a high street chemists in Goole in the early hours of this morning – by two officers who were walking passed on their beat.
The silent alarm was set off at Boots on Wesley Square around 12.50am during the incident.
Neighbourhood officers who were on patrol in the town centre spotted a suspect and quickly arrested him in minutes on suspicion of burglary.
He was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of assaulting a police officer.
The man is currently in custody. Log 12 of 11/10/19 refers.
