A charity memorial day is being held in Goole this bank holiday weekend, in memory of a Goole mum and grandma who sadly lost her brave battle with cancer last September.
Tracey Baxter, from Goole has an action packed day of football matches planned in memory of her much loved mum Carol Martin. All proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support to thank them for the outstanding care and support they gave Carol and her family throughout her illness.
On Sunday, May 1 the Victoria Pleasure Grounds in Goole will host a series of memorial matches, with two of Carol’s grandsons, Joe (20) and Jamie (13) captaining their respective football teams in memory of their ‘nana’.
Carol’s third grandson, twelve-year-old Ben will be facing the chop as the fearless youngster loses his hair in a sponsored ‘brave the shave’ event.
There will be a raffle with prizes galore, a bouncy castle and a snack bar, so please pop along from 12 noon and show your support.
