The festive spirit will come early to Goole Library this year, as the choir from Castaway Music Theatre will sing Christmas carols on Friday, 6 December between 10.30-11.30am.
Tea, mince pies and card-making crafts will take place afterwards in the museum.
People can turn up to the event without booking and also add their voice to the choir if the festive mood takes them.
Goole librarian Hayley Nicholson said: “By holding this carol service, we hope it generates the right positive festive feelings at the start of December – and get everyone really warmed up for Christmas.
“Libraries aren’t typically the places to hear carol music, however research has shown that singing can decrease stress and anxiety, lowers blood pressure, bring people together and create a sense of community so the Castaway Music Theatre choir is a fantastic local group to help do this.”
