This month, Business Support Specialist Heidi Green tells us how important a team coach or mentor can be for your business.
Many owners concentrate on the day-to-day firefighting of the “day job” as opposed to the long-term strategy and thinking of future aims and goals.
Coaching and mentoring are often thought of as the same thing. However, a coach will help you learn or improve a skill and a mentor has a genuine interest in supporting you to achieve your ultimate goals.
Many coaches will encourage the business owner to take the “Golden Hour”. This gives you the opportunity to look at your business and review the week that’s just gone and plan ahead for the following week.
Being in business is a lonely place. Even if you have a team around you the buck stops with you! A coach or mentor can give you confidence to take those ideas and make them a reality and help you see the opportunities ahead.
