Community club get a helping hand

A community group in Swinefleet are celebrating after receiving a £250 funding grant.

The Fleet Club, based in Swinefleet, meet at the Residents Association Community Centre and offer new and existing residents a place to meet up, enjoy bingo evenings, days trips, shopping and other daily activities.

Goole & District Lottery have awarded the funding to the club, which will be used to help continue the support of the community centre and its members. Brent Fox who accepted the cheque on behalf of the club said ‘We would like to thank the Goole & District Lottery for all their help over the years, it really is a boost for the members and the club.’’

The Goole & District Lottery Community Fund is used from a percentage of the funds from the Goole & District Lottery where members can have a chance of winning a £1,000 weekly jackpot prize from just £1 per week. Applications can be obtained via email on: info@gooleanddistrictlottery.org.uk
