Howden Shire Hall is pleased to welcome ‘The Locals’ live band for a one off fundraiser in aid of the hall’s charitable trust.
The Locals, though not local to Howden, were at least local to each other when they formed 10 years ago in Essex. Over the years the name has become more tenuous (Steve, the drummer now drives 2 hours to rehearsals), but they’re still just as dedicated to playing great music you know and love, often down the local!
They play an eclectic mix of styles and eras, juke-box classics and the one you haven’t heard for ages. From the Rolling Stones to Rag n Bone man, The Jam to Pulp, The Monkees to the Arctic Monkeys, the Kinks to the Killers. The aim is to get everyone up dancing, or at least singing along!
“I grew up in Howden, so I’m kind of a local! We’ve played the Shire Hall three times before and we’re really excited to be asked back for this fundraiser. The sound and space are great, and the atmosphere is always fantastic. It should be a great night”.
Nick (lead guitar).
Hosted at Howden Shire Hall on Saturday 22nd February 2020, tickets are priced at £12 each and can be bought online with no booking fee from www.howdenshirehall.co.uk or via the Howden Shire Hall Box Office on 01430 432510.
