The sun was shining and families were out in force on Father’s Day for the Annual Open Day at RSPB Blacktoft Sands.
Guided walks, trails and activities allowed visitors to see and appreciate the wonderful work being done on the reserve to create a home for nature. Catering was provided by Ousefleet Village Hall. Blacktoft Sands is part of the Humber Estuary and is the largest intertidal reed bed in the UK, home to marsh harriers, bearded tits and bittern.
