Free workshops organised in response to demand from business owners in the Goole area

In response to demand from local businesses, Invest East Yorkshire is hosting a series of FREE social media-themed workshops at RaisE Business Centre in Goole this month.

Taking place next Wednesday 12 February, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, a workshop entitled ‘The ABCs of social media’ offers a useful introduction to making the most of social media for your business and is perfect for beginners who are not sure where to start. By the end of the session, those who take part will have a good overview of social media.

This will be followed later that same day, between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, by a workshop entitled ‘What’s the right social media channel for my business?’. This session will look at different social media channels and help attendees to assess which are right for their businesses.

On Thursday 13 February, from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, there will be a further workshop entitled ‘Building an integrated social media campaign’, which explains how to plan and implement an effective multi-channel social media campaign for your business. This workshop is best suited to intermediates, who already have an understanding of social media and want to explore what an effective campaign looks like.

Dawn Hall, Business Support Services Manager at Invest East Yorkshire, said: “This trio of social media workshops has been organised in response to feedback that we’ve received from businesses in the Goole area about the kind of workshops they would like to taking place at RaisE Business Centre.

“There are sessions suitable for both beginners and intermediates so I’d encourage any local business owners who want to learn how to use, or make better use of, social media to raise awareness of the products and services that they offer to reserve their free place now!”

Booking information and further details about the three social media workshops, as well as other free events and training opportunities organised by Invest East Yorkshire, is available at https://investeastyorkshire.co.uk/events/.

Invest East Yorkshire is part of East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the workshops taking place in Goole are being fully funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). Invest East Yorkshire’s Business Support Services team offers a comprehensive package of support to businesses, from events and workshops to one-to-one advice and help identifying sources of funding. It also manages The Supply Chain Network Supplier Directory, which was created for businesses to showcase their products and services, and a Resource Portal, where businesses can find a wide range of free information, tools and templates. The team is also able to signpost businesses to other support providers and draw upon the expertise of colleagues in other departments across the council, such as planning, licensing and environmental health.
