Sgt Ryan Reed of Goole Neighbourhood Policing Team explains the changes that have recently taken place within the service, and how the different teams will provide cover in your area
‘Our emergency service will be covered by Goole Community patrol. More serious crimes will be investigated by Goole Community Investigation and Community Policing will continue to deliver our ability to deal with more protracted matters within our neighbourhoods. Your local neighbourhoods team is responsible for collaborating with local people and organisations to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour. Examples would include Neighbourhood watch, the Pub Watch Scheme and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) housing and antisocial behaviour team. Your local team – which covers Goole, Howden and Pocklington – will continue to be led by Inspector Jo York who will be supported by myself (Sgt Ryan Reed) and Sgt Helen Mcgilll-Sanderson. Helen is a new member of the team and is looking forward to getting involved in some of the new challenges of her role. How wards will be staffed is detailed below:
