Goole level crossing closures

The level crossing on Boothferry Road in Goole will be closed to traffic for certain periods over two days next week.

The crossing will be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm on both Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 August, 2016.  Network Rail have confirmed the two day closures will allow them to carry out routine annual track inspections, and any maintenance work required to keep the railway network up to standard. Pedestrian access will still be available via the subways.

EYMS bus services running through Goole will have to divert, and the expected congestion is likely to cause delays. The following diversions will be in place:

Goole Town Bus G3 (Grange Road) will take its normal route as far as Boyes, then will divert via Mariners Street, Bridge Street, Normandy Way and Seavy Road, back to its normal route. Coming back into town after the hospital it will run via Pasture Road, Centenary Road, Clifton Gardens, Dunhill Road, Seavy Road, Normandy Way, Bridge Street, Stanhope Street, Victoria Street and onto North Street.

Goole Town Bus G3 (Grosvenor Road) will take its normal route as far as Boyes, then will divert via Mariners Street, Bridge Street, Normandy Way, Anderson Road, Rawcliffe Road and back onto its normal route. Coming back into town after the hospital it will run via Pasture Road, Centenary Road, Clifton Gardens, Dunhill Road, Seavy Road, Normandy Way, Bridge Street, Stanhope Street, Victoria Street and onto North Street.

Service X55/X56 buses into Goole will use their normal route as far as the hospital, then will run via Pasture Road, Centenary Road, Clifton Gardens, Boothferry Road, Rawcliffe Road, Anderson Road, Normandy Avenue, Bridge Street, Stanhope Street, Victoria Street and onto North Street.

Service X55/X56 buses leaving Goole will use Stanhope Street, Bridge Street, Normandy Way, Anderson Road and Rawcliffe Road, before returning to their normal route.

Service 361 will use its Saturday route in both directions, i.e. along Bridge Street and Swinefleet Road.
