Tuesday, 19 April will be the first chance to visit Goole Museum’s eighth Annual Open Art exhibition, which will run until 18 June.
Museum curator Dr Alex Ombler explains : “We have a wealth of artistic talent in Goole and the surrounding area and we have some wonderful creations on display. Standards have previously been high, and this year is no exception.
“For any art lovers out there, this is a must-see exhibition. Come along and be inspired or just enjoy the art. There are traditional landscapes, alongside abstract art, portraits, illustrations and digital artwork. There are also several excellent works in textile and ceramic.
“For some visitors it could be a fantastic opportunity to purchase an original piece of art for yourself, or for someone special.”
This year, the museum is running a ‘people’s choice’ vote, so visitors are encouraged to come along and choose their favorite work of art. The winner will receive a prize and an opportunity to have their own exhibition in the community display area.
