Goole Museum Open Art Exhibition is back for 2023

Goole Museum’s popular annual Open Art Exhibition will return from 25 March to 27 May, 2023. 

This is a must-see exhibition for art lovers in the area. Goole Museum curator Dr Alex Ombler explained : “Come along and be inspired or just enjoy the art.  There are traditional landscapes, alongside abstract art, portraits and illustrations. There are also several excellent works in textile, fabric and ceramic. For some visitors it could be a fantastic opportunity to purchase an original piece of art for yourself, or someone special.

“We have a wealth of artistic talent in Goole and the surrounding area, and we have some fantastic art on display. Standards have previously been high; however, we have received a record number of entries, so the artwork in this year’s exhibition has been selected by two external judges. Consequently, the quality of the art on show promises to be better than ever.”

This year, the museum will also be running their ‘people’s choice’ award, an opportunity to come along and vote for visitors’ favourite work of art. The winner will receive a prize and an opportunity to have their own exhibition in the museum’s community display area.

Saturday 9am to 4pm
