Older people from villages across the East Riding have taken part in a bi-annual sports competition designed to combat social isolation and increase fitness.
Hook villagers participated in the Inter-village games, a scheme funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Adult Services, which encourages the over 50s and disabled adults to take part in activities as a way of promoting independence and overcoming social isolation.
The games are held twice a year and feature a wide range of activities such as seated aerobics, indoor archery, skittles, and New Age Kurling.
