for everything Goole
All your news, views, businesses, events and much more – at the touch of a button and through your letterbox in the monthly magazine – and best of all, it’s FREE!
For weeks now your voting forms have been dropping through our letterbox here at Our Goole HQ, and the wait is finally over – we can officially announce the winner of our 2019 Little Stars Competition.
It goes without saying that every minature entrant in this year’s contest is a Little Star in our eyes, but there can only be one winner, and this year was extremely close.
But without further ado, we are proud to announce the Our Goole’s Little Star 2019 is Mila Oldridge.
As well as adorning the front page of the October issue as our very own cover star, the adorable Mila has also won £150 cash from Our Goole, plus a 24x16in high-quality box canvas from our friends at Clan Shots Photography.
Our runner-up Ronnie Brown has won £50 from Our Goole and the same high-quality box canvas.
Our third-placed Little Star, Betty Thomas has won a £40 voucher to spend in the Clan Shots Photography studio – £20 courtesy of Our Goole and £20 courtesy of Clan Shots.
The photographer’s choice award goes to Amelia Woods, who has won a 16x12in high-quality box canvas.
Everyone at Our Goole would like to thank the parents of our town for showing such enthusiasm towards the competition. Goole really does have the most beautiful, cheeky little stars, even if we say so ourselves!
All entry fees are being donated to Youth Space – Goole, a local youth club open to young people aged 10-14 on Tuesday 2.30pm-4pm, located at Trinity Methodist Church, Clifton Gardens, Goole.
The youth club explores topics around self-esteem, peer pressure, physical and mental health. Giving young people a place to learn about how they can look after themselves and cope with the pressures they face.
