Cassandra Parkin is a Yorkshire-based writer with a passion for fairy-tales. She writes darkly beautiful contemporary fiction with a strong magical flavour.
She will be visiting Goole Library on Wednesday, February 15 and South Cave Library on Wednesday, February 22, both from 6.30 – 8.00 pm.
During her visits, she’ll be talking about her most recent novel, “Lily’s House”, which follows the heroine Jen as she unravels her own and her family’s secrets after the death of her grandmother, Lily.
She’ll also read from her upcoming novel “The Winter’s Child”, in which Susannah Harker receives an eerie prediction from a Hull Fair fortune teller: by Christmas Eve of that year, her missing son Joel will come home to her.
Tickets are £3.00 each, which includes refreshments, and the opportunity to buy a signed copy of ‘Lily’s House’ at a discounted price.
Tickets for both events are available from both Libraries or online at : http://events.eastriding.gov.uk/Event.
