Mobile cancer information team offers Dying Matters support

Free, cancer information and support is coming to Goole, Friday 18 May.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s Mobile Information and Support Service will be visiting the area, with cancer information specialists on hand to answer any questions. The team encourages anyone with worries relating to cancer to stop by.

The visit has a Dying Matters theme, to coincide with the national awareness week.

Caroline Kipling, Mobile information and support service team leader, said: “Dying Matters week highlights the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement. For our local visits, the mobile team will be working in partnership with Macmillan nurses and other Macmillan professionals from Hull and East Riding. We will also be supported by Dove House Hospice and End of Life Commissioning. We will be on hand to talk more about Dying Matters, as well as offering our usual range of cancer-related information.”

Details of the visit:
Friday 18 May, Goole Leisure Centre, North Street,
Goole DN14 5QX 8am to 3pm

Last year, the Macmillan Mobile Information and Support Service – which includes a fleet of six bright green buses – reached 181,334 people across the UK.  For further information about the service, go to www.macmillan.org.uk/mobileinfo
