A new bus stop and shelter has been erected at Goole and District Hospital after feedback from patients. Patients and visitors to the hospital and the GP surgery on site had requested an additional bus stop be located between the main entrance to the hospital and the medical centre.
The new stop is serviced by the Goole Town bus service (GT1 – GT3) and the shelter was funded by Goole College.
Sally Yates, logistics and waste manager, said: “Following feedback from the community this additional bus stop has been conveniently located between the main entrance to the hospital and the medical centre.
“This will make life easier for patients and visitors as they will have a much shorter walk to either location when they get off the bus. We are grateful to Goole College who made this possible by sponsoring the shelter.”
