New play sessions for parents

When two local mums realised Swinefleet was without a playgroup, they took the initiative and set one up in the village hall.

Friends Vicky Jones and Carley Godson kicked off the first Wednesday play session at the beginning of June, and the response from parents in and around the village has been positive.

Vicky told Our Goole: “There isn’t anything really for children between the ages of 0-5 in Swinefleet, so we thought why not start something up. The response so far has been great. Everyone is welcome to come along and give it a try.”

The sessions take place every Wednesday between 10.00am-11.00am, with messy play, singing and crafts. There are regular ‘themed’ sessions and each week children make a craft that they can take home.
