Nominate a hospital hero!

Blessed with a high quality hospital rated as ‘good’ in a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission, Goole residents and hospital users already have a lot to be thankful for.

No-one particularly ‘likes’ having to spend time in hospital, but if you’ve been unable to avoid a required stay or visit at Goole, Scunthorpe or Grimsby hospital recently and had the experience made a little bit easier by a superb member of hospital staff, then now is your chance to say ‘thank you.

A kind, helping hand, reassuring smile or something as simple as pointing you in the right direction down the corridors is worth its weight in gold during hospital visits. With that in mind, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is looking for nominations for its annual staff awards ceremony, Our Stars, which is held every October to honour those who have made your hospital experience that little bit better.

Simon Dunn, people and organisational development lead, told Our Goole: “We’re inviting nominations from patients and their loved ones for the Patient’s Choice award category so we can recognise those individuals and teams who have made a real difference to patients and their families.”

So whether it was a nurse, doctor, cleaner, therapist, consultant, volunteer, porter, receptionist, catering staff, or someone else, if a member of staff made your day recently then this is an ideal way to give them a pat on the back.
