The 5th Annual Open Art exhibition has opened at Goole Museum, and runs until 5 September.
The exhibition is open to all artists from Goole and the surrounding area and includes traditional landscapes, alongside abstract art, portraits and illustrations.
Goole Museum curator Debbie Hardy said: “For art lovers out there, this is a must-see exhibition. Come along and be inspired or just enjoy the art.
“There are also lots of textile works that are really wonderful. For some visitors it could be a fantastic opportunity to purchase an original piece of art for yourself, or someone special.
“This year we will be running a ‘people’s choice’ vote, so come along and choose your favourite work of art. The winner will receive a voucher for framing, something all artists appreciate. We have a wealth of artistic talent in this area; standards have previously been high and this year is no exception.”
Goole Museum is located in Carlisle Street, Goole, and is open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm; Wednesday 10am to 7pm; and Saturday 9am to 4pm (closed for lunch 12 noon to 12.30pm (Wednesdays 1.30 to 2pm). Admission is free.
