Open Art on now at Goole Museum

The sixth Annual Open Art is now on at Goole Museum, until 31 August.

Curator Debbie Hardy said: “This popular exhibition is open to all artists from Goole and the surrounding area and is a showcase for our local talent. Every year I am impressed by the standard of work submitted.

“Once again we will be running the ‘People’s Choice’. Our visitors can vote for their favourite piece and the winner will receive £100 worth of framing, courtesy of our fantastic supporters at Gallery Framing on Pasture Road. Last year we had over 200 people vote for their favourite work of art, and the winning artist was delighted with his prize.

“For any art lovers out there, this is a great exhibition. Come along and be inspired or just enjoy the art.  There are traditional landscapes, alongside abstract art, portraits and illustrations. For some visitors it could be a fantastic opportunity to purchase an original piece of art for yourself, or someone special.”

Goole Museum is open :
Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm
Wednesday 10am to 7pm
Saturday 9am to 4pm
Closed for lunch 12 noon to 12.30pm (Wednesdays 1.30 to 2pm)
