Raising money to help The Green Team fund a new van

Following the theft of one their vehicles, The Green Team charity in Goole are now left with only one vehicle to operate with.

The well regarded and trusted The Green Team run a low cost, regular garden maintenance service for people in Goole who are elderly or disabled. The charity has been running for over 20 years and welcomes volunteers who assist daily helping people in the community.

People of Goole have started donating to the fundraiser set up by the charity, to donate visit their Facebook page, any donation will hugely help the charity.

David from The Green Team says: “The theft of the van has had a massive impact not just on our ability to maintain our levels of garden visits to our elderly and disable beneficiaries, but has also had a negative impact on our volunteers and the numbers that we can take out on any particular day.

“Donations to the charity will enable us to look at hiring vehicles until any insurance monies are received and will also act as a boost to our loyal volunteers many of whom feel very disappointed about recent events.”
