Following an appeal on our website and in the Goole Times two anonymous calls were received which led officers to a Hook address.

A 57 year-old Hook man was questioned in relation to the incident and the rare World War II RAF operations room clock was recovered.

Community Police Constable Hayley Robson said: “I want to thank those people who rang to provide us with the information that lead to the recovery of the clock.  This local information was invaluable and has meant that the clock can now be returned to the rightful owners.”
