Our Goole auction fundraising bid for Amelia’s cause

CreateTVT, producers of Our Goole magazine, will be raising money for local girl Amelia Wright from Swinefleet by auctioning off their staff to the highest bidder.

Director of CreateTVT Lisa Warrener will be auctioning herself and six of her staff off to any willing bidders in the local area. The winners will be able to allocate one member of staff to undergo a task of their choice, with all funds going towards Amelia’s cause.

We covered Amelia Wright’s story in our April edition, explaining how she is looking for your help after being diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Amelia’s parents Chloe and Christopher Wright, are hoping one day their daughter will be able to walk independently, however, they require additional funds to make this dream a reality.

Amelia is currently receiving fantastic care through the NHS, but not everything she requires is covered under the costs, so we at Our Goole are keen to help out in any way we can.

We are encouraging local businesses to get involved and put their bids towards any one of our seven staff. Each member of staff will give three hours of their time during working hours to the winning bidder, and take part in a task of their choice.

You can take your pick from all our staff, including our Director, Lisa Warrener!

Also, up for bids are our three sales team members! Firstly Lisa, a mother of three who loves getting out and about. Asha, the youngest of seven, is always keen to help out local businesses wherever she can. Finally Kim, who has returned to CreateTVT for the second time. Just keep in mind she is expecting a little one in September!

Two members of our distribution team are also helping Amelia’s cause by putting their self up for bidding. Fitness freak Rachael and Becki who previously worked with Amelia’s dad Christopher are looking forward to your bids! Journalist Joe, who is terrified of heights, is the last member of staff you can bid for.

How it work
From Monday 1st July to Friday 5th July we will be accepting bids via email (info@createtvt.co.uk), or our Facebook page (@ourgoole). Simply message us telling us who you are bidding for and your donation. Each bidder will be updated when we recieve a new highest bidder, meaning if you are outbid it gives you a chance to re-bid. Bidding can be made for any staff member at any time.

Remember to follow our social media channels, where we will keep you up-to-date with winning bidders and anything else you need to know.

On top of our charity auction efforts, on Tuesday 25th June the whole team will be going into central Goole approx. 12-2pm with donation buckets. If you miss us, donations can also be dropped off at Housesetc at 91 Pasture Road, Goole, DN14 6BP.

Director Lisa added: “We were saddened to learn about Amelia, and we hope that one day she is able to walk independently. Through these fundraising events, all the money will be donated to Amelia’s cause – it is the very least we can do.”

For those of you who are not in a position to bid for a member of staff, but appreciate our efforts, you can make a donation through our JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ourgooleamelia

All money raised will be donated to Amelia’s cause and covered in the September edition.
