Successful grading day for Defence Lab students

Goole Defence Lab has played host to a regional grading day where many students have moved one step closer to black belt and beyond.

The grading day took place at the end of April, with people travelling from all over East Yorkshire and other branches to take part.

With perhaps many unfamiliar with the sport, Defence Lab is a global network of a self-defence and fitness.

Goole’s Defence Lab Crew Member, Paul Strauther, told us more about the successful day that took place at the school.

“Everyone smashed their grading and made another huge step closer to black belt and beyond! We are absolutely blown away by the high level and standard of each and every single Defence Lab student.

The school offer a DL Kids Martial Arts Educational programme in Goole, Hook and Howden, which has grown in popularity. The classes are a great way to get youngsters engaged in a learning environment, whilst developing self-defence mechanisms and improving fitness.

Those that graded on the day ensured they gave 100%, and were all thoroughly deserving of it. Everyone showed a great level of determination, and demonstrated their skills expertly, a compliment to the coaching they have received.
