Tablets for tots thanks to lottery grant

A Goole pre-school are celebrating after receiving a boost thanks to a £250 grant.

Rainbow pre-school, on Victoria Street gratefully accepted the donation from the Goole and District Lottery Community fund. The pre-school is a self-funded voluntary group and relies purely on donations to buy equipment and fund the centre.

On receiving the cheque Marianne Power said: “We would like to thank the Goole and District Lottery for the grant which will be used for the purchase of computer tablets to enhance our ICT provision. This will enable the children to access age appropriate programmes and develop their individual understanding.”
Every week a lucky winner is £1,000 better off thanks to the local lottery, the proceeds of which are used to offer grants of up to £250 (subject to application) to community groups in Goole and the surrounding area, up to a 15 mile radius.
