If you’re looking to improve your skills, get a new qualification or learn something completely new then there’s good news for East Riding residents, as new course guides for autumn 2016 are now available.

The new guides, which are aimed at people aged 19 years and over are full of courses that can help and there has never been a better time to sign up to an adult learning course with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Courses on offer include accredited qualifications like counselling, supporting teaching and learning in schools (STLS), European computer driving licence (ECDL) and photography.

New for autumn will be the option for learners to choose flexible start dates to suit them, with some courses also available as a fast track option, allowing learners to complete their qualification earlier.

A community learning course guide is also available and is packed full of courses like pottery, flower arranging, art and crafts, getting to know your tablet device and patchwork and quilting as well as the ever-popular mindfulness courses. Most of the community learning courses are available for complete beginners as well as for more advanced learners so there is a level for all.

Courses are delivered from adult learning venues across the East Riding and range from one-day workshops to year-long qualifications and from daytime classes to those on an evening and weekends.
