Dave, Ian and Anthony (known as Razza) are taking part in a 20 mile bike ride this Sunday (22nd) to raise money for 11-year-old Connie who for the last 3 years has suffered with epilepsy.
Recently, Connie has not responded to medications and despite invasive exploratory brain surgery she is not a candidate for curative brain surgery. Connor follow a medical keto diet meaning all her meals have to be carefully prepared at home but sadly still has many seizures without warning.
This has motivated Dave, Ian and Razza to try raise money to cover the cost of a seizure alerting smart watch for Connie to wear. This accessory would sent an alert to Connie’s care givers if any change in her heart rate occurred whilst having a seizure.
Currently Connie is watched by an adult 24/7 and sleeps with mum due to her seizures being often silent and during her sleep, this watch would allow her to be allowed more independence in her life as well give herself and her family a peace of mind and by ensuring swift intervention when a seizure occurs.
A huge good luck from us all here at Our Goole! If you would like to donate to help Connie, please visit: www.gofundme.com/f/annual-charity-bike-ride
