Two teenagers die in road traffic collision

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers died in a road traffic collision on the A63 close to the Knedlington Road cross road, Howden at 8.15pm last night (Tuesday 7 February).

A green Volkswagen Polo left the road and collided with a tree. The two passengers-a 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy-sadly both died at the scene. Specially trained traffic officers have been deployed to support the families of the teenagers who died.

The driver of the car-a 19-year-old man-sustained minor injuries. He has been arrested and is currently in police custody assisting us with our enquiries.
