Volunteer to help with Summer Reading Challenge

East Riding Libraries are looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 16 and over to help with this year’s Summer Reading Challenge – Big Friendly Read 2016.

The challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to read six books during the school summer holidays. To get involved as a volunteer, which can be for as little as two hours a week, applicants must be aged 16 or over, on or before 4 June 2016. Volunteering for the reading challenge can help to give you a respected reference for employment, and a chance to develop your skills. Places are limited, so early applications are advised.

For details, contact Jessica Thewlis on jessica.thewlis@eastriding.gov.uk, or phone Jessica on 01482 392765. The closing date for applications is 30 May, 2016.
