Goole’s West Park has played host to a car boot sale for the very first time this summer.
The car boot has gone down a treat as the people of Goole flocked in to West Park to pick up some bargains.
With the gates opening at 8am, Mayor Josie Head was present at the event to cut the ribbon, officially unveiling the car boot to the people of Goole. We spoke to event organiser Anthony Raspin who told us more about the exciting new plans.
“We think it is a great occasion, we are going to try and keep it good fun and bring the community together; it is certainly for everyone so kids are more than welcome to come down and have a look!
“As far as we are aware, the same times will apply for our upcoming events. Traders should arrive between 7am – 7.45am to pitch up.
“The gates will open from 8am for the public to come in and have a look round, to see what is on offer. There are plenty of stalls, with the event closing around 11.30am, so it gives the public a good three hours to have a look round.
“Of course there is the café open as usual. It worked tirelessly at our first event, which we are extremely appreciative of. Traders pay a small £10 stall charge, which also ensures they are provided with a snack on the day.
“We hope to see you all there soon!”
