Zolsha brings home two awards at the English Curry Awards 2018

Last month we reported how Indian restaurant and takeaway Zolsha in Howden was nominated for the Most Wanted Restaurant of the Year for the Yorkshire and Humber region. Well, we are delighted to tell you that Zolsha not only won this category but was also the Most Wanted Restaurant of the Year Overall Winner 2018.

That means we have a most wanted restaurant in the whole county in our area!

As we told you last month, the eighth English Curry Awards celebrate and acknowledge restaurants throughout the country at the biggest and most prolific curry event of the year and Zolsha was delighted to be selected as finalist.

Zolsha was thrilled to be selected as winners of the Most Wanted Restaurant of the Year category in Yorkshire and the Humber region. Then, all of the regional winners were put forward to an overall final to find the countries best. Just to be recognised with some of these amazing restaurants was more than Zolsha expected.

And to the amazement and pure elation, Zolsha was announced as the overall winner and awarded England’s Most Wanted Restaurant of the Year 2018.

Zolsha Manager Ash Ahmed told Our Goole: ‘This is an amazing achievement and it is down to every single member of Team Zolsha and our customers. I am beyond proud of the restaurant and everyone that has helped us win this award.  It has been a great journey and to win this is a huge honour that we are all so proud of.”

Zolsha launched its new menu in November and the trophy is now on show for everyone to see!

Ash adds: “We hope that our customers will come and celebrate with us as there will definitely be a party atmosphere in the restaurant, so everyone is welcome.”
